Wintercession Statement of Purpose
Wintercession allows sophomores to take advantage of a variety of educational opportunities sharing similar passions and interests with a group of peers. Souhegan recognizes that experiential learning is an important component in a student’s education.
Wintercession strengthens student learning through unique opportunities for in-depth cultural and academic investigation, greater student personalization, and reflective practice.
Wintercession courses are grounded firmly in the Souhegan Mission Statement principles of active stewardship, expansion of comfortable limits, pursuit of passions, and self-empowerment.
Courses challenge participants to emulate the Souhegan Six through being actively engaged in their learning; asking questions, collaborating, and seeking solutions.
