Single Trimester Class: 50 Hours Community Service, 1/3 Credit

Description: Available for 10th - 12th graders, The service learning course gives students the opportunity to participate in active school/community involvement.  Service opportunities are available during the regular class periods in a variety of campus offices as well as off campus placements. Typical off campus service locations include nursing homes, day care centers, The Humane Society, and environmental programs. To receive credit for this course, students complete 50 hours of service, keep a log of their hours, and reflect in a weekly journal about their week.
