Assistance 

 

NOTE:  Technical assistance is not assumed but must be specially arranged when booking the theatre. Lighting and Sound assistance for outside groups is NOT free.

 

Souhegan Facility Policy requires that any Souhegan students assisting an outside event will be paid through the SAU Office at a rate of $10/hr.

 

Adult supervision will be paid through the SAU Office at a rate of $50/hr.

Lighting

 

The school provides a basic warm wash and simple use of area and special lights. Organizers of events requiring a more elaborate design must either provide a lighting designer and hanging crew (who must strike and re-hang our house plot after the event) or, if feasible for SHS lighting students, contract to pay for the extra preparatory work prior to the event and the re-hang of our house plot following the event.

Sound

 

The school provides a basic sound system (for simple events requiring up to 4 inputs) or a Professional sound system of mixer, amps, and speakers (for larger events). This professional system must be controlled by an SHS student, unless arrangements are made with the Technical Director.

There are up to (but possibly less than) 5 pipes suitable for hanging backdrops or other items, and there is a 23’ ceiling – an 18’ tall drop will fly out exactly 5’ from the stage (that’s 5’ above the floor). If you need to use multiple drops, please coordinate with the Technical Director.
