SAU #39 Mission:  We will engage, support, and challenge all learners.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Happy Friday!  I hope you all have wonderful plans for enjoying the warm September temperatures and New Hampshire’s great outdoors.  I receive lots of updates from students on soccer and football games, hikes and bike rides, and camping trips on Monday mornings.  Whatever your plans, I hope you enjoy some time together.

This year our school and SAU focus is on literacy, particularly reading.  You’ll be receiving information at the end of next week regarding a reading campaign involving our students and their families as well as the entire Mont Vernon community.  If you would like to get involved in our reading campaign and have some time to contribute on a weekly or monthly basis, please let me know.   We hope the planned events will help capture our students’ attention and help them to develop a lifelong appreciation for reading in its many forms.

Upcoming Events:

bulletOur first SRA (Student Recognition Assembly) will be held on Friday, September 28th at 2:00 P.M.*  (Please note the early start time.)  Family members are welcome to attend as we join together as a school community to celebrate some local traditions and kick-off our reading campaign.

bulletOur next Late Start Day will be on Tuesday, October 2nd--no morning kindergarten.

bullet Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day is Thursday, October 4th.  The program will begin at 1:15 in the MPR.

All the best,

 Meredith Nadeau

MVVS Principal
