Mont Vernon Village School March 14, 2008 SAU #39 Mission: We will engage, support, and challenge all learners.
Dear Parents and Guardians, It is with a heavy heart that I announce to you today that I will be leaving MVVS at the end of the school year. On Wednesday evening, I accepted a position as the Director of Special Education with the Oyster River School District. My husband and I are expecting our second child in August, and the move will bring us closer to some of our family members and closer to the University of New Hampshire where my husband is finishing his M.Ed. My four years at the Village School and in SAU #39 have been wonderful ones. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to work with a dedicated school staff, an educationally-minded school board, a supportive community, and truly incredible kids. Although I am excited to embark on this new adventure with my family, I am sad to think that I won’t be working in Mont Vernon on a daily basis. Congratulations to 6th grader Chandler MacKenzie. Chandler is our school Geography Bee champion and learned just recently that he qualified for the New Hampshire State Geography Bee! He will be representing MVVS at the state finals in Keene on April 4th, and we are very proud of him. Congratulations also to the following students who won awards at the New Hampshire State PTA Reflections program: Ciarri Formby-Lavertu, second place in intermediate visual arts, Camden Formby-Lavertu third place in middle/junior visual arts, Daltrey Harmon second place in middle/junior visual arts, Colette Harmon third place in intermediate photography, and Anthony Edvalson second place in intermediate visual arts. We are proud that students from our little school were able to make such a strong showing! I hope to see many of you tonight at School District Meeting. Have a wonderful weekend!Sincerely, Meredith Nadeau |
