Mont Vernon Village School

SAU #39 Mission:  We will engage, support, and challenge all learners.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am pleased to announce that our new Spanish teacher, Mr. Alan Brooks, will begin work with us on Monday.  Mr. Brooks and his family moved to the U.S. in April from their previous home in Uruguay.  Mr. Brooks has been teaching at the Berlitz Language School in Montevideo for the last ten years.  He grew up in New York and holds a M.A. in Geographic Information Systems.  We look forward to having him join our staff.

Next Friday, our school will be conducting an off-site evacuation drill in conjunction with our fire and police departments.  We will conduct a routine fire drill and then move the students to the MV Congregational Church.  Once there, we will confirm our attendance and then return to the Village School.  The drill will begin at approximately 1:30 P.M., and we expect to be back in classrooms shortly after 2 P.M.

If you are receiving this paper edition of my parent letter you can switch over to the electronic version by sending an e-mail to Charlotte Jameson.  Please include a note in the “re.” line asking to be added to our e-mail lists.

 All the best,

 Meredith Nadeau

MVVS Principal

Wild about Storytime!
The Daland Memorial Library invites children ages 3 and older to join in
the reading fun at the library. Storytime this season will feature wild,
wooly animals. Crafts, stories, finger plays – come see what all the
smiling is about. ‘Wild about Storytime’ will begin on January 17th and
run for 6 weeks. Space is limited – so stop in the library to register
or give us a call at 673-7888. Any questions, ask for Amy White.
