Welcome to another year in our wonderful schools in Amherst, NH. This section is dedicated to information for anyone who is interested in the many volunteer opportunities available within our schools. We hope that you will consider helping with some of the schools events through out the year. If you would like more information on any event, please see below for the appropriate person to contact. Volunteer Coordinators
The Clark/Wilkins Volunteer Coordinator reports to the Principal of Clark/Wilkins Elementary Schools, Gerry St. Amand and is responsible for the entire Volunteer Program at both Clark/Wilkins Elementary Schools. This includes oversight of the In-Classroom, Wilkins Specials and Junior Achievement Coordinators. In addition, this position is responsible for the following:

Clark/Wilkins Volunteer Coordinator:

The Wilkins Specials Coordinator reports to the Clark/Wilkins Volunteer Coordinator and is responsible for overseeing the volunteers and schedules for the following programs at Wilkins:

The In Classroom Volunteer Coordinators report to the Clark/Wilkins Volunteer Coordinator and are responsible for overseeing the volunteers and schedules for the in-classroom volunteers for their respective schools. There is an In-Classroom Volunteer Coordinator for Clark and one for Wilkins. In addition, they will also help keep track of volunteer hours for field trips and other in-classroom based volunteer times.

The Junior Achievement Coordinator reports to the Clark/Wilkins Volunteer Coordinator and is responsible for overseeing the Junior Achievement Program at both Clark and Wilkins. They will work with the Junior Achievement office as well as with both volunteers and teachers to implement this program.

Volunteer Commitments
We all have times when we cannot make our volunteer commitments due to an illness or an unforeseen event. If you have a list of other people who might be able to substitute for you, please try this avenue first. If that doesn’t work out, PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN A NOTE WITH YOUR CHILD. Please call the school office and let them know directly so they can let the appropriate people know that you will not be in. They can then have time to make changes to their plans if necessary. Do not feel if you cannot go – it happens. Please just make sure you have notified the office. Thank you for your cooperation!
Throughout the year there are times when we may have delayed openings and/or early releases (especially during the winter months). Room parents, please make sure you have a copy of your class list with you in the car and at home so you are prepared in the event you are called and need to activate the emergency class list. Any time we get updates to the emergency call list, you should receive an updated list. Please make sure that you have made arrangements with the emergency contacts for accuracy.
