Absence Policy: Please contact the school, before 8:30 a.m., to notify the office of your child's absence or tardiness.  When the children arrive later than the start time (8:30), please stop by the office to let the secretarial staff know that your child is in the building.

Dismissal Policy:  Please send in a note, indicating any and all changes to your child's regular, daily dismissal.

Birthdays:  If your child would like to celebrate his/her birthday with the class, it would be enjoyed by all!  Feel free to send in simple finger items (cookies, cupcakes, etc.), drink and napkins.  These can be dropped off in the office the day of the celebration.  I will find an appropriate time during the day to celebrate your child's special day.  If there are summer birthdays, we will celebrate them during May or June.  Please let me know ahead of time if you plan to send in a birthday snack.  Also, it is school policy not to hand out invitations to personal parties here at Wilkins School.  Thanks! 

School Lunch:  Full Lunch is $2.65 per day (this includes milk); milk (without lunch) is $.60 per day.  Lunch and milk can be paid in advance.  The children are issued a card with the advance amount credited to your child's account.  As milk or lunch is purchased, the amount is deducted from the total.  Other prices:  extra slice of pizza w/meal  $1.85 

School Store:  School store is scheduled for every Wednesday, immediately after lunch and before recess.  If your child wishes to purchase any items from School Store, please send in a labeled envelope with your child's name and money amount (not to exceed $3.00).  Please note that this was last years schedule 07/08.  Updated information will follow.

Book Orders:   Book orders will be sent home throughout the year.  If you are interested in any of the selections, please complete the appropriate forms with child's name on it, and make one check payable to Scholastic Books. (All orders can be combined into one check).  Please do not send in cash.  Thank you for encouraging the love of reading.

Personal Belongings:  Please label all items that belong to your child (i.e. - pencil boxes, books, backpacks, lunch boxes, clothing - especially boots, mittens, and snow pants).  Items lost or left on the playground or bus can find their owners easier if they are labeled. Thanks!

Snack and water bottles:  .  Children are encouraged to bring in only healthy snacks.  Water bottles with lids may be brought in and filled at school.  They can be kept on their tables.
