AMS Serves Grades 5 through 8

(Amherst residents only in 5 & 6; Amherst and Mont Vernon residents for 7 & 8)

School will begin on August 27, 2008

New-Student orientation will be on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 8:30 am.

Registration for ALL New and Returning Grade K-8 students
will be on Monday, August 25, 2008 at AMS.

If you plan on enrolling your child at AMS, please send us an email to let us know.

Please send us your child's name, grade he or she will be entering,
approximate date of entry, and your Amherst/Mont Vernon address/phone numbers.
An email address is also helpful.

Welcome to the Amherst Middle School!  Coming to a new school can be both scary and exciting. It's hard to leave behind friends and familiar places.  There are lots of questions. "What will the new school be like?"    Every new student will need to have the above forms completed and returned to the Amherst Middle School office.  You may contact the school to make an appointment with the appropriate grade-level counselor. You may download the forms above and return them to the school in person or by mail.  By law, we must have a copy of the student's birth certificate and immunization records in order to complete enrollment.
