The U.S. Department of Education has honored the Amherst Middle School as a Blue Ribbon School, in recognition of excellence in teaching and instruction, student achievement, leadership and
parental involvement.
Students are not allowed in the AMS building after hours unless with a supervised school activity or studying in the library.
